Do you see any repairs that are more common than others?
Front drive axles are very common items. Generally the symptoms are clicking noises going around corners and leaking grease from torn axle boots. Having them checked is a very simple thing to do. Just drop in and we will be happy to come out and inspect them for you. We can install new, NOT REBUILT, axles for a very reasonable price. Several GM model cars and light trucks have a very common issue with intake manifolds leaking coolant. This is very important to take care of in the early stages as it can not only leak externally, but internally into the oil, which can cause damage to the engine bearings.
How often is it necessary to do maintainence work on my vehicle?
Factory recommended services are done at intervals such as 60,000 miles and/or 90,000 etc. We are able to do these services and save you 20-30% over most dealerships. We guarantee that we will beat anyone's prices by 10%, so why pay more? We install quality parts and have well trained techs to perform all of your auto service needs. Protect your investment. Do parts need to be replaced at any specific mileage? When we do your services we do not just automatically replace a part because of the mileage although timing belts would be an exception. We replace what is needed to keep your car at it's peak performance and dependability which end up saving you on unnecessary repairs or parts you don't need. Why Change Antifreeze? Antifreeze circulates in a sealed system providing engine cooling, passenger compartment heating, and corrosion protection to the engine. However, time, hot and cold cycling, oxidation, and topping-off with water can render the antifreeze incapable of meeting these basic performance requirements. The additives are eventually used up, the freezing and boil-over protection is diluted, and the glycol itself degraded. Continued use can lead to overheating, freezing, and engine failure. Regular antifreeze service protects the entire cooling system (coolant passages in the engine block, radiator, thermostat, valves, water pump, hoses and computer sensors) just as regular oil changes protect the engine. Time & Mileage: Extending the service life of antifreeze beyond manufacturer recommendations is an expensive gamble. Recommended service intervals for conventional green antifreeze range between 2 years /30,000 miles (whichever comes first), and 3 years / 60,000 miles (whichever comes first). The recommended service interval for the newer orange-colored antifreeze is 5 years / 150,000 miles (whichever comes first). Why are these service items so important? | |||
